Hand coiling and weaving Techniques
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 27th
Time: 7:00 pm
Faculty: Courtney Puckett
Location: 2 West 13th Street, Room 1013
Description: The workshop also expands on the uses of fabric as a sculpture material. Students may explore wrapping, weaving and coiling techniques in conjunction with found objects.
Japanese Bookbinding
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 27th
Time: 7:00 pm
Faculty: Freya Powell
Location: 2 West 13th Street, Room 703
Description: Using the Japanese bookbinding technique we will create small sketchbooks/notebooks within the workshop that each student can take with them. This technique is very simple and perfect for utilizing leftover paper tearoffs.
Pastel Drawing and Color Theory
Date: Thursday, Nov. 29th
Time: 7:00 pm
Faculty: Ginger Levant
Location: 63 5th Ave, Room 619 (UC)
Description: Learn the fundamental techniques of pastel drawing. The workshop will cover the application and color mixing of pastels along with color theory. Students will gain a more in-depth exploration of how color is used to create illusion, light, atmosphere, and space. Bring a pencil ruler and eraser. All other supplies are provided.

Open life drawing workshops
Weekly dates below: Fridays from 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm
Location: 63 5th Avenue # 404.
It will run based on attendance, so the students have to arrive within one hour of the start time of the 3:00-5:00 session otherwise the models will be dismissed until the second session (6:00-8:00 pm).
If the monitor does show up and the program is not able to find a suitable monitor it will be dismissed for the day. In some instances, I can cover for the first session (3:00-5:00 pm), but that’s not always the case.
