Guidelines for Your Presentation

The RULES

  1. Practice your presentation with your group ahead of time. Each student in the group should take part
  2. Keep it simple
  3. Stand up straight, look at your audience, project your voice. This is your Broadway debut!
  4. “Words belong in memos, [presentations are] for ideas” (Seth Godin)
  5. A picture is worth a thousand words
  6. BE THEATRICAL
  7. Don’t repeat yourself
  8. If all else is lost, make your first sentence memorable.
  9. Lead with “Hello”
  10. Always start with “why” in your introduction
  11. You have 15 minutes maximum
